Peer Review Process

Double-Blind Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Innovation Studies (IJMRIS) is firmly committed to a Double-Blind Peer Review process. Every effort is made to ensure that the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

Submission Requirement: Authors must submit three separate documents (.DOC or .DOCX format):
  • Title Page (with author details)
  • Anonymised Highlights Page
  • Anonymised Manuscript Document

Title Page (Required Information)

  • Corresponding Author Details:
    • Full Name
    • Affiliation (Name, State, Country)
    • Email Address
    • CRediT Statement
    • ORCID ID
  • Other Authors:
    • Full Name
    • Affiliation
    • Email
    • CRediT Statement
    • ORCID (where applicable)
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Disclosure of AI tools (e.g., chatbots, LLMs, AI media tools)
  • Submission declaration (originality, exclusivity, approval by all authors)
  • Conflict of Interest statement

Anonymised Highlights Page

  • 5 bullet points summarizing the paper (max 100 words)
  • Must be fully anonymised

Anonymised Manuscript Document

  • Title of the manuscript
  • 4–6 Keywords
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Introduction
  • Related Work (maintaining anonymity)
  • 2–4 Main Sections
  • Figures and Images (min. 800 DPI, caption below)
  • Tables (caption above)
  • Formulas (centered and numbered)
  • Disclosure of AI tools

Important Anonymisation Notes

  • Use third person for self-references (e.g., [Anonymous, 2007])
  • Remove affiliations from figures
  • Limit self-citations
  • Remove funding references
  • Do not include acknowledgements

Removing Identifiable Information

Authors, editors, and reviewers must ensure all documents are free from identifying metadata, including file names and document properties.

Microsoft Word (Windows)

  1. Go to File
  2. Select Info
  3. Click Check for Issues → Inspect Document
  4. Click Remove All
  5. Save the document

Microsoft Word (MacOS)

  1. Go to Tools
  2. Select Protect Document
  3. Enable "Remove personal information"
  4. Save the document
